Cameron Brink Drops Important Injury Update With Head-Turning IG Video
By Max Escarpio,
2024-07-10Los Angeles Sparks' Cameron Brink was one of the best rookies in the WNBA before suffering a brutal ACL injury in a 79-70 loss to the Connecticut Sun on June 18. Despite having her name in the early Rookie of the Year campaign, Brink's season ended early.
The 6-foot-4 center recently shared an update on the injury, posting a promising video on Instagram.
"No ACL, no problem," Brink said.
Brink held up her brace in the video, walking freely while wearing boots. In a previous Instagram story, she shared an update on her post-surgery feelings , mentioning that she may be delayed but not denied.
The Stanford product finished her rookie season averaging 7.5 points and 5.3 rebounds per game, playing a total of 15 contests in her first year in the league.
Brink was ranked third in the WNBA's blocking category when she received the news that she'd miss the remainder of the season. She posted 2.3 blocks per game throughout the year.
One major part of Brink's life has always been fashion . She's explained her love for fashion, which was evident when the rookie displayed various styles in the tunnel, showing off extravagant pregame looks.
In her recent video on Instagram, Brink was wearing a white skirt, a graphic crop top, and a leather jacket.
While Brink's injury timeline seems to be headed in the right direction, the Sparks may have trouble celebrating, given the fact that they've lost nine of their last ten games. Los Angeles ranks as the No. 10 team in the WNBA standings with a 5–17 record.
