Tamika Catchings is one of the greatest women's basketball players of the last two decades, and an outspoken savant in the world of women's basketball.

Recently, it was revealed that Catchings' nephew is headed to play for one of the most well known athletic universities in the world of college athletes.

Earlier this month, Catchings sent a hard warning to Indiana Fever fans in comments to the Indy Star about the type of treatment the franchise' star player can expect to receive.

Clark's Fever have lost two games in a row during a time when hard fouls against the former Iowa Hawkeye and NCAA All-Time leading scorer have become the norm.

She was blindsided during Saturday's matchup with the Chicago Sky and her Fever lost by 12 points earlier this week to the Seattle Storm, two signs that Clark's challenges on the court have reached an entirely new level.

“Anytime a great player is coming in, or anybody that's getting attention, even for me...(the goal of the opposition is to) limit touches,” Catchings said.

“My goal was to make sure they scored half of what their average was. That was my only goal, my mindset. Well, that's going to be the same goal of the players Caitlin is going up against every day.”

Catchings' prediction seems to have come true for Clark and the Fever amid their current struggles.

The Fever guard scored just 15 points against the Storm on Thursday as the rough play of opposing players appeared to take its toll on her.

Next up for Clark is a Sunday clash with Brittany Griner, Diana Taurasi and the Phoenix Mercury that could be must-see TV for all basketball fans, not just avid WNBA watchers.
