However, the 2024-25 season will mark Diebler's first as the Scarlet and Gray's full-time head coach. Diebler helped turn the ship around, guiding the Buckeyes to a 5-1 run to end the regular season, including upsetting No. 2 <a href="https://247sports.com/college/purdue/">Purdue</a> at home, 73-69, and getting a win over legendary coach <a href="https://247sports.com/Coach/tom-izzo-1189/">Tom Izzo</a> at <a href="https://247sports.com/college/michigan-state/">Michigan State</a>, 60-57.
