Angel Reese Returns to Sky vs. Liberty WNBA Game After Major Injury Scare

The Chicago Sky and the New York Liberty are locked in a tightly-contested WNBA game on Thursday.

It's surprising to see how evenly-matched these two teams are, considering that the Liberty have the league's best record and the Sky are fringe playoff contenders.

While the Sky are playing well, they nearly suffered a brutal blow.

Sky rookie Angel Reese walked off the court in the third quarter with a noticeable limp, and headed straight to the locker room.

Fans were initially fearing the worst for the rookie.

"God keep you arms around my girl angel Reese. Hoping for a speedy recovery nothing serious please lord," one fan wrote.

"Angel Reese's double-double streak might end tonight. She's looked a lil hurt since the opening tip. #WNBA ," added another.

"Pray for Angel Reese," another fan said.

But luckily Reese returned to the court at the end of the third quarter and ended up getting back into the game.

Thankfully Reese managed to avoid what might have been a worrisome injury.

But the missed time might mean that she won't keep her double-double streak alive.
