Jaylen Brown's WNBA Girlfriend Deletes Post About Viral Bronny James Comments
Boston Celtics star Jaylen Brown and his girlfriend Kysre Gondrezick were caught on camera seemingly discussing Bronny James during Monday night's Los Angeles Lakers vs. Boston Celtics Summer League game. The video was first uploaded by NBC Sports Boston, and fans quickly decoded the conversation with some lipreading.
As fans pointed out, it seemed Brown told Gondrezick and her former Chicago Sky teammate Angel Reese something along the lines of, "I don't think Bronny is a pro."
Gondrezick, who is a WNBA free agent after recently being waived by Chicago, seemed to respond with something along the lines of, "I think he will be on the G League team."
The video went viral on social media, with this post alone generating over 27M views on X (formerly known as Twitter). Not knowing the camera was on him, Brown addressed this clip in a response on Tuesday morning, sharing a positive message for James as he embarks on his NBA journey:
Gondrezick also shared her own post on Tuesday that addressed her comments, writing, "I think the G-league is a great place to work on your game if you ask me... wish the W had a G-league."
As her post began generating a lot of traction, Gondrezick deleted it:
The post from Gondrezick was nearing 100,000 views at the time she deleted it, so it was still seen by a lot of people. It seems the former WNBA player did not want to bring any further attention to an already viral situation.
Rumors of Brown and Gondrezick dating began when she was seen with him at the Celtics' championship parade, and People Magazine confirmed the relationship following their appearance at the ESPYs.
